Angus (Aonghas around Gaelic) is one of the traditional counties and also one of 32 unitary council regions around Scotland and a Lieutenancy area. A one council area borders onto Aberdeenshire, Perth and Kinross and the City of Dundee. Independent industries include agriculture and fishing.

A traditional county (likewise referred to as Forfarshire) borders Kincardineshire to the north-east, Aberdeenshire to the north, Perthshire to the west. Southward, it faces Fife across the Firth of Tay.

A county may be split into ternary geographic areas. Northwards & west, a topography is mountainous. This is the locality of the 5 Angus Glens. A front yard is sparsely populated & a independent industry is hill-farming. South & east, a topography consists of rolling hills bordering a sea. A metropolitan area is fairly swell populated by using a big towns & a City of Dundee on the coast. Around between these ii areas lies Strathmore, the Dandy Valley, the fertile farming vicinity, noted for potatoes, Angus cattle, and easy fruit.

The similar metropolitan area to the county is covered per Angus Westminster constituency and Angus Holyrood constituency.
